THE HAMILTON WENHAM OPEN LAND TRUST

The Hamilton-Wenham Open Land Trust was founded in 1985 to preserve wildlife habitat, watershed, agricultural land and other natural features that make the towns of Hamilton and Wenham, Massachusetts, and surrounding communities, the special places they are. It was part of the coalition that was successful in preserving Chebacco Woods in Hamilton.

To date the Land Trust, with the assistance of generous local landowners, has preserved over 100 acres of open land comprising 13 reservations through fee ownership and conservation restrictions.

Everybody needs beauty as well as bread,
places to play in and pray in, where nature
may heal and give strength to body and soul.
