TAFT WOODS Gift of Warren 5 Cents Savings Bank Taft Woods, located in Hamilton, is one of the Land Trust’s larger parcels. This site is accessible from Taft Row in Hamilton. This site is mainly accessible in the summer and fall. It can be wet in the spring. This site contains numerous types of amphibious life, such as toads, frogs, and salamanders as well as typical wildlife such as deer and fox. A wide sampling of trees exists at this site, the most common of which are Beach, Pine and Oak. One end of the sanctuary contains a small pond, which makes for a satisfying resting place or picnic area. Many foot paths lead to this pond, and other improvements are planned. |
